Theme A: Concepts of computer science

Computer fundamentals, networks, databases and machine learning.

Theme B: Computational thinking and problem-solving

Computational thinking, programming, object-oriented programming and, at HL, abstract data types.

Internal assessment: The computational solution, developed and documented by the student.

4Theme B: computational thinking and programmingSpecify problems, construct solutions, trace code and debug systematically.
5Theme B: OOP and HL extensionApply object-oriented principles; for HL, address abstract data types and deeper syllabus demands.
6Case-study thinking and timed responseApply knowledge to original scenarios, improve extended responses and finalize revision priorities.
